Quality Specialist
The McCrone Group, a Westmont, Illinois firm, that includes an innovative modern analytical and research laboratory, an instrumental sales group, and education division, seeks a highly motivated Quality Specialist for its analytical group, McCrone Associates.

McCrone Associates is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to provide quality assurance and quality control services to our accredited and regulated analytical laboratory. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, organizational skills, and a proactive approach in order to juggle multiple priorities.

Acceptable candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a science (chemistry, geology, biology, forensics) with at least 5 years of laboratory experience in an ISO or cGMP laboratory environment; working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements with some microscopy or microanalysis expertise; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; and be able to effectively interact with management, technical staff and regulatory auditors.

Typical duties include:

  • Maintain quality manuals, standard operating procedures, and forms
  • Host client audits and government regulatory inspections
  • Oversee internal audits
  • Facilitate change control and corrective actions
  • Investigate customer and internal complaints
  • Oversee deviations investigations
  • Verify environmental monitoring records, instrument preventive maintenance and calibration records
  • Oversee proficiency testing of staff
  • Oversee regulatory compliance
  • Oversee subcontracted service providers and supplier qualification
