15+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Debra joined McCrone Associates in the fall of 2010. She has expertise in applied materials science and materials analysis. Before joining McCrone, as a member of the small team assigned to revamp the software and hardware for Oxford’s Microspec Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Microanalysis (WDX) equipment, she acted as product manager, determining customer performance and usability requirements; employed materials analysis expertise to ensure the new product exceeded all requirements; and applied expertise in the WDX technique to develop a training course for the WDX equipment. Debra served as ‘WDX guru’ for the company, supporting the world-wide applications team by providing training on the technique and troubleshooting complex problems. She also provided solutions to specific customer issues regarding their particular applications of the EBSD technique including the use of the data acquisition software and interpretation of results. Debra has published more than twenty articles in journals and conference proceedings.
