Microchemical Techniques
Microchemical analysis is the examination of the behavior of small particles with other chemical agents. Regardless of whether a sample is macroscopic or microscopic in size, it will react similarly with various other chemicals.
Due to the small sample sizes, special techniques have been developed for use under observation on light microscopes. Reactions may be observed such as melting, solidifying, dissolving, precipitating, staining or out-gassing. Along with other information developed by direct observation, these chemical reactions provide valuable information used to identify particles.
