Through a unique collaboration, Hooke College of Applied Sciences offers in-person microscopy training for materials analysis at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. These hands-on courses and workshops in light microscopy, electron microscopy, and micro-infrared spectroscopy are suited for both industry professionals and college students. Microscopical methods can be applied to virtually all areas of materials science including pharmaceutical sciences, forensic trace evidence, environmental particle identification, and analysis of plastics, paints, and polymers.
