Linkam FTIR600 Heating and Freezing Stage

SKU:L-FTIR600

The FTIR600 stage has been adapted from Linkam’s market leading high precision geology stage to allow infrared analysis of samples from -196 up to 600°C covering all applications from pharmaceutical to polymers. FTIR is an increasingly popular method of sample analysis. With today’s highly sophisticated instruments combining research quality optical features such as DIC and Phase contrast with IR microanalysis, the FTIR microscopes are some of the most powerful research tools available.

The FTIR600 stage can be mounted horizontally as in IR microscopy setups and vertically for cabinet type IR spectroscopy. The silver block has a tapered hole to allow maximum transmittance of IR without interference.

The research possibilities are dramatically increased by adding a precision heating and freezing stage. The Linkam FTIR stage can be fitted to most conventional FTIR microscopes. The silver block has a tapered hole to allow the transmittance of radiation without interference. For objective working distances of 4.5mm, the angle of the taper is 118°. The angle of admittance from the condenser is between 57° and 90°. If these standard angles are not sufficient, the stage can be modified to increase these angles. Please contact the sales office for details. The standard FTIR block does not contain a window and the aperture has been reduced to 1.3 mm to eliminate thermal gradients. The windows used in the construction of the stage are between 0.2 and 0.5mm thick. The window material ensures that optimum optical performance is achieved.

Alternative window materials such as Zinc Selenide and Barium Fluoride are also available—ask about our full range of window materials.
