McCrone Microscopes & Accessories names McGinn new Director of Instrument Sales

McCRONE MICROSCOPES & ACCESSORIES NAMES MCGINN NEW DIRECTOR OF INSTRUMENT SALES

WESTMONT, IL (January 15, 2007) – McCrone Microscopes & Accessories, the instrument sales division of The McCrone Group Inc., internationally recognized as a world leader in microanalysis and the nation’s Premier Microscopy Resource, announces today that Jeffrey D. McGinn has been named Director of Instrument Sales. McCrone’s instrument sales division offers a complete line of Olympus microscopes, Linkam Hotstages, and PAX-it imaging/archival system, along with other microscopy related instruments, reference standards and resource books.

McGinn will manage a team of dedicated sales representatives based in Westmont, Illinois. The McCrone Division, established in 1960, offers one of the most complete lines of products and accessories for the optical microscopist.

Since June 2004, McGinn has served as a Technical Sales Engineer and Instructor of scientific equipment at McCrone Microscopes & Accessories. In addition, he has taught courses in microchemistry and microanalysis methodologies at The College of Microscopy. The College of Microscopy is a highly specialized academic institution offering advanced professional training in analytical microscopy techniques, and it has the largest array of advanced modern microscopy instrumentation within any one location in the United States. McGinn is a member of The McCrone Group’s staff that has been teaching scientists, researchers, First Responders, and educators for more than 45 years.

McGinn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Illinois.
