New Products From McCrone Microscopes & Accessories for 2022

These are just a few of the new and exciting products being offered by MMA in 2022.

McCrone Microscopes & Accessories (MMA), an official dealer for Retsch milling and sieving products, is excited to announce the new MM 500 control module and cryoPad extension for the MM 500 mixer mill. The MM 500 control is the first mixer mill on the market that allows you to monitor and control the temperature of a grinding process, and the cryoPad extension’s innovative technology allows for liquid nitrogen use and the ability to control cooling your sample from -100°C to 0°C. Heating up to 100°C can also be achieved using water and the provided thermal plates. During a grinding process, the actual temperature is continuously displayed.

The McCrone collaboration with JEOL has always been strong. In 2021 we provided more JCM-7000 benchtop SEMs to customers than ever before, and 2022 is off to an exciting start as MMA can provide you with the following JEOL products:

• The JEOL Carbon Coater EC-32010CC is a fully-automated carbon coater that deposits a thin, conductive layer of carbon film on to a sample surface. By applying this coating to a non-conductive surface, SEM imaging is improved as electron “charging” is effectively eliminated. A rotating-tilting stage is also available to ensure the complete coating of larger particles.
• The JEOL Particle Analysis Software 3 (PA3) can enhance the capability of your benchtop SEM by automating detection, and EDS analysis and classification, of particles, grains or other features in your samples. From manufacturing, product development and research, PA3 will add to your existing inspection capabilities.
