New Hooke College Courses
Digital Photomicrography: If a picture is worth a 1,000 words, then make sure the pictures you take are telling true stories. Learn the principles and techniques of digital photomicrography and stop changing your story in Photoshop.
Forensic Hair Analysis and Comparison: Learn the value and techniques of hair comparison in our detailed hands-on course. Students learn scientific principles that lay the foundation for professional forensic hair comparison.
Analysis of Low Explosives: Learn the techniques used to process and identify the most common types of low explosives. Students work with pre- and post-blast debris in this hands-on course targeted to teach criminalists how to process bomb scenes and examine residue from explosive devices.
Microscopy for Science Teachers Workshop: Our yearly Science Teachers Workshop is designed to help teachers learn how to use the microscope more effectively and apply it more often throughout the school year. This workshop goes beyond the typical biological based exercises, and includes exploring the worlds of materials science, forensic samples, and crystals.
