Mary Stellmack named The McCrone Group “Employee of the Year”

MARY STELLMACK NAMED THE McCRONE GROUP “EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR”

50th Anniversary Year

WESTMONT, IL (May 17, 2006) – The McCrone Group Inc., internationally recognized as a world leader in microanalysis and the nation’s Premier Microscopy Resource, announces that Mary L. Stellmack, Senior Research Chemist, was named 2006 “Employee of the Year.” Stellmack is recognized for her unrivaled level of dedication to The McCrone Group’s success and for consistently exceeding both client and company performance expectations. “This year commemorates our company’s 50th anniversary and we are proud to reach this milestone and recognize Mary Stellmack’s contributions to our firm,” Donald A. Brooks, President & CEO, The McCrone Group, said.

“Our 50th anniversary has inspired reflection on how we can continue to serve our clients to stay at the forefront in our industry,” Brooks said. “Stellmack’s performance epitomizes our high standards and commitment to excellence,” Brooks added. “We applaud her energy, enthusiasm, and contributions, and regard her as an invaluable asset to our organization.” Stellmack joined The McCrone Group in 1999 and is responsible for chemical analysis using infrared spectroscopy, gas and liquid chromatography, and microchemical techniques. Mary has a special expertise in polymer and plastics analysis. Prior to joining McCrone she was a Vice President, Analytical Services for Bodycote Broutman, Inc. and served as an analytical chemist for Polytechnic, Inc.

Stellmack earned a Bachelor of Arts in French and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Loyola University. In addition to publishing a number of technical papers, she is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Society for Applied Spectroscopy, and American Chemical Society. She is also a member of the faculty at the Group’s new microscopy learning center, the College of Microscopy in Westmont, Illinois. Stellmack and her husband reside in Elmhurst, Illinois.
