The primary use of a stage micrometer is to calibrate eyepiece measuring reticles by making a direct comparison of the arbitrary rulings in the eyepiece reticle to known spacings on the stage
NPL Certification Available:
Each certified stage micrometer is measured in selected intervals using a microscope with a traveling stage. The displacement of the stage is measured by means of a helium-neon laser interferometer, with the frequency of the laser having been determined using an iodine-stabilized reference laser. The expanded uncertainty in the interval measurements is +/- 0.0005 mm. The uncertainties are for a confidence probability of not less than 95 %. Please call for pricing and delivery information.
