18+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Joanna M. Tyszko joined McCrone Associates, Inc. as cleanroom manager in 2024. Joanna is responsible for managing the daily operations and personnel training and development in the cleanroom department along with planning, implementing, and coordinating all activities in the cleanroom laboratories. She collaborates with research scientists to develop and support cost-effective, efficient, and high-quality sample preparation, analysis, and technology solutions.
Prior to McCrone Associates, Joanna spent 17 years at Clarke as entomology manager and scientific researcher, part of the research and development team, where she focused on team management and development, project management, process improvement, innovation and technique development, and scientific communication, while maintaining mosquito rearing and testing facilities, and conducting analysis on novel active ingredients and formulations for mosquito control.
She’s also an avid volunteer, having been a mentor to graduate students through the Entomological Society of America’s Professional Advancement Career Training (PACT) Initiative, a volunteer and “Cookie Mom” with the Girl Scouts of America, and annually volunteering with Cinderella’s Closet at YWCA Elgin.
