Kate retired from McCrone Associates in 2017, where she employed infrared and Raman spectroscopy, gas chromatography, light microscopy, and wet chemical methods in the course of analytical problem-solving for a variety of clients.

Prior to joining McCrone Associates, Kate worked at Unilever/Helene Curtis, Inc. for 15 years where she used spectroscopic techniques to support product claims, conduct ex-vivo and in-vivo performance testing, address consumer complaints and assist manufacturing facilities in the development and production aspects of a variety of personal care products.

Kate currently consults for McCrone Associates and is a volunteer tutor with College of DuPage.
